we are from southern california now. training new personnel. which is taking a while. hopefully playing shows by the end of summer 2008.

we recorded a cover of portraits of past for a compilation that seems to have fizzled.


the name - Damezumari is a term from the board game Go. It refers to a situation where a stone or group of stones, which you have played, is in a difficult position that is nearly impossible to salvage. It is usually translated as "shortage of liberties"


the band - started march 2003, currently from san diego.
the band has previously included doug johnston (drums) and daniel sutliff (bass), who both appeared on the first three demos, and craig maricle (drums) and chris skillern (bass) who played on the three more 'official' releases, and zak ramey who played two shows with us as a second guitarist, and blake foster who played drums for our summer tour 07.
